Linda (10 out of 10 ) I loved this movie. The actors are fantastic, they are real. Wonderful, a real story that can make us think!
Limey (8 out of 10 ) We should, all of us in the western world, hang our heads in shame upon viewing this stunning, poignant, tragic account of those mad bloody days in central Africa. And perhaps our wise leaders would be well advised to watch this now, and be mindful of their humanitarian responsibilities towards the ongoing genocide in Darfur, that continues without any chance of intervention from UN peacekeepers. I would also like to see the movie Shooting Dogs with John Hurt, it's meant to be another very powerful version of the slaughter. Sorry for ranting, I'll climb down off my soapbox now. It's just so bloody shameful!
Josiah (9 out of 10 ) At the beginning of the movie, it mentioned Sudan, about all the things that are happening there. At first I thought this movie was made in the last year, then I realized that it was made 2 years ago. Sudan is still going on. Death toll to date is 400,000. Displaced people 1.2 million. The good news is, the fighting is stopping, the bad news is WHY it is stopping. There is a lack of people to die. I hope this movie will help spur some help to the people of Darfur and for future countries that have this problem.
JOLLY (10 out of 10 ) A very compellingt and heart tearing movie. When you live in a peaceful country that has never seen war or any violent confrontation since independence, it is easy to take so many things for granted. When you watch Hotel Rwanda you stop and say we need to thank God for every peaceful day that passes
erick alwora (8 out of 10 ) Watched President Paul Kagame on CNN today. This movie tells the tragic story in a detatched yet poignat way. My script "His Master's Voice" is about the 2008 'genocide' in Kenya. Finalist in the first round of 20/29 scriptwriting contest. I wish I could invove Keir and Terry George in this re-write!
